GRAHAM DOESN’T GO WITH TEA: Grass Roots Movement Hits Back After SC Senator Dismisses It
Already perceived as a RINO Republican by many on the right, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham (pictured)has done little to ingratiate himself with the rising Tea Party movement of Americans who are demanding a return to a Constitutional government.
But then, just before Independence Day, Graham went on the record to dismiss the Tea Party completely, labeling it a disorganized “fad” that is “unsustainable because they can never come up with a coherent vision for governing the country.” (See the link below for the full story.)
Now, the Tea Partiers are hitting back, spearheaded by individuals such as businessman, economist and published columnist, Terry Easton, who contends that Progressive politicians like Graham are trying to discredit the Tea Party because it threatens their agenda.
In a direct response to Graham’s assertion, a press release announcing Easton’s new book, Refounding America, points out that the “coherent vision” for this movement is clear: 61 percent of Tea Party members are committed to reducing the national debt and significantly shrinking the size of the federal government.
“In other words, it’s the Constitution, stupid,” says Easton, whose new book is subtitled, A Field Manual for Patriot Activists, and details the history of Progressives in America, sharing dozens of strategies for using their tactics against them to win elections.
“Only a card-carrying member of the Progressive Washington establishment like Lindsey Graham would say that a movement calling for a return to the type of government envisioned by the Founders lacks ‘vision.’ The only vision the Constitution lacks is the ability to see where, in its text, Graham is allowed to impose his job-killing cap-and-trade system,” adds Easton, referring to the GOP Senator’s willingness to support the leftist Democrats’ climate-control legislation.
