First Grader Shooting First
Grader:
Proposed Solution by Dr. Paul Lindstrom
The world was shocked by the news that a Michigan first grade student shot and killed another first grade student in his public school classroom in broad daylight.
For the past three years Dr. Lindstrom has been on the speaking circuit predicting that public school violence was going to get much worse, calling for armed guards to police the halls of the "morally bankrupt public propaganda war zones" masquerading as schools.
But as bad as the recent flurry of school shootings has been, Lindstrom contends there is an element in the public schools that is even more dangerous than the violence: detrimental, ultra-leftist propaganda being pumped into millions of tender young minds, creating human time bombs, set to got off in ever increasing numbers in the very near future.
Lindstrom says we must eliminate all false religious teachings of humanism and moral relativism from the classrooms and replace them with the traditional biblical morals that had been the main stay of our nation since our founding fathers fought the revolution for religious and political freedoms.
But rather than admit they are wrong, many school administrators, liberal politicians and media pundits are scratching their heads, searching for some cosmic or esoteric reason that might explain the escalating public school violence.
Lindstrom knows exactly what went wrong and has the solution. He unashamedly says we must welcome God back in the classrooms and return to teaching time tested phonics-based reading, writing and arithmetic.
But is criticism of the public school system all that Dr. Lindstrom brings to the table on this issue? Absolutely not. For over 30 years Dr. Lindstrom has been pro-active in practicing what he preaches.
Dr. Lindstrom is Superintendent of Schools at Christian Liberty Academy, a private Chicago area school with about 1,000 students. He also is one of the early pioneers of the home school movement. His successful Home Schooling program educates 50,000 students in all 50 states and in dozens of foreign countries. His education system has produced many national merit scholars and his students frequently fall in the upper 90 percentile in standardized tests.
Furthermore, Dr. Lindstrom is spearheading a class-action lawsuit against the public schools for child endangerment and child abuse. He believes his massive-scale lawsuit could dwarf all tobacco and gun lawsuits.
As a talk show guest, Dr. Lindstrom addresses any or all of three issues (deferring to the preference of the talk show host): 1) Public School Violence, 2) Home Schooling and Private Schooling Alternatives, and 3) The Class-Action Lawsuit Against Public Schools for Child Endangerment.
Depending on the direction set by the talk show host, Dr. Lindstrom can either quote impressive home schooling statistics (i.e. winners of both the 1998 and 1999 National Geographic Society Geography contests and the 1997 national spelling bee were home schoolers), or take a family lifestyle oriented approach (talking about how home schooled children are well disciplined and have strong bonds to their parents due to the extra time spent together, and how the students socialize with other children, etc.). Either way, the educational issue is brought to light through a person who has been dedicated to providing high quality education for his entire career.
During the interview Dr. Lindstrom would like to give out the toll free Home School Hotline number (800-Read 1-2-1) for listeners to call to receive a free home school information packet.
