MODERN-DAY MIRACLES: The Concept of Offering a Hand Up Goes High Tech
Sometimes, finding a way to change the world can be so simple, we overlook it.
But corporate marketing and promotions professional, Dave Snuggs, is focused like a laser beam on the endeavor, and he’s available for interviews to enlighten your audience about how they too can affect lives in a very direct and tangible way.
Snuggs is the creator of an innovative web-based organization called My Neighbor in Need. It’s so ingeniously simple in its concept, it takes the spirit of giving to an entirely new plane, anonymously connecting people in need with those who can help—through the limitless power of the World Wide Web.
Originally begun in Snuggs’ adopted hometown of Great Falls, Montana, back in March of this year, MyNeighborInNeed.org was only up and operational for two weeks when an individual in Afghanistan of all places donated money to help a woman in Great Falls (see the link below).
And the success of the program just continues to grow exponentially.
“I am thrilled beyond words,” exclaims Snuggs. “(At first) I had hoped this system would help five people per week. I never dreamed we (the community) would be helping five people per day. To think that in just 15 weeks we have already exceeded the goal for our entire first year. It is simply joyous.”
Now, Snuggs is fielding inquiries from other parts of the country submitted by those who want to set up a similar program in their region.
Find out more about this amazing manifestation of generosity, how it works, how it is lifting good people out of hard times, and how it is reinvigorating people’s faith in the instinctive goodness of mankind.

ABOUT YOUR GUEST, DAVE SNUGGS:
I was once asked early in my career, “What do you want your legacy to be?” There was no delay and certainly no consideration of what my reply should be. I remember smiling and stating proudly, “I would like it to read on my tombstone, ‘Here lies Dave Snuggs. He worked for the greater good’!” It is that underlining philosophy that has always been at the center of my core values: Family, Honor and Code.
Dave Snuggs is the founder of My Neighbor in Need, LLC, and www.MyNeighborInNeed.org. Dave also is the Facilities Director of the 144-acre Arrowpeak Lodge in the Highwood Mountains. The Lodge is owned by The Montana Farmers Union. The Montana Farmers Union is a statewide grassroots organization working for family farmers, ranchers and rural communities through conferences, scholarships and other educational opportunities, as well as legislative representation and support for producer-owned co-ops. The Montana Farmers Union is also the presenting sponsor of the My Neighbor in Need Program. You can read more about the mission of The Montana Farmers Union at: www.montanafarmersunion.com.
Prior to joining the team at The Montana Farmers Union, Dave served as the Vice President of Sports and Competition for Special Olympics Montana from 2002–2009. Before making Montana his home, Dave spent 13 years working in Sports/Entertainment Management for numerous professional hockey, soccer and arena football organizations. Dave’s duties included marketing, promotions and game day operation, but what he enjoyed the most was creating events that would help drive awareness of a specific cause that served the community.
The creation of My Neighbor in Need, LLC and www.myneighborinneed.org was an 11 year journey of hope, doubt, frustration, optimism, faith and, finally, amazement. Someone once said that the people who change the world sometimes are not necessarily the smartest people on the planet. They simply get angry enough at the current situation that they take a stand and fix the problem.
Dave is newly married to Karen Schaefer.
